Reflexology and Reiki in Blaxton, Doncaster
All close contact services (including Reflexology) are now permitted to re-open, subject to the use of a surgical type 2 face mask (and any local restrictions).
I will have numerous safety measures in place, including (but not limited to):
Use of face coverings and (visors where appropriate), changing between clients
Rigorous cleaning regime between clients and at the end of each working day
Allowing at least half an hour between clients to allow thorough cleaning and to avoid client crossover
Airing the treatment room for at least half an hour between clients and during treatments where conditions allow
Completing a risk assessment with each client at the beginning of each appointment
Ensuring strict personal hygiene with regard to hand washing and changing uniform between clients
The use of medical grade hand sanitiser before and after every treatment for myself and my clients
It is now compulsory for clients (who are not exempt) to wear face coverings when they attend their appointment for the duration of their appointment, other than in the case of treatments requiring access to the face/head area, in which case they will wear them for the consultation aspect of their appointment only
Keeping up to date with regular updates from Doncaster Council regarding the local situation.
About Amber Reflexology
Thank you for visiting Amber Reflexology. My name is Amber Sanderson and I have been practicing reflexology for over 12 years, but my fascination with the subject goes back much further. Way back in the mid-nineties during our school’s careers’ day, I found myself drawn to a small group of ladies that had converted one of the home economics classrooms into something magical and mysterious. Emanating from the room were not the odours of the morning’s attempts at cookery, rather, the sweet smells of lavender, rose and frankincense. Curious to know what it was all about, I popped my head through the door when I was invited to try a reflexology taster treatment. This was the first I’d heard of reflexology, but the reclining chair looked so inviting and it seemed far more interesting than the more business-like lectures and workshops that were lined up for us that afternoon. Having my feet massaged in the middle of the school day was not exactly what I expected from the day, but the effect it had upon me was so profound, I can still vividly recall the calm, serene and floaty feelings I experienced that day.
Reflexology had been in the back of my mind ever since, but it wasn’t until I was at home with two small children that I considered it as a career choice. One of my first case studies whilst I was training was my mum, she had been suffering with moderate joint pain due to an old injury, and we were both astounded by the results a course of treatments gave, so this encouraged me further to pursue a career that would help people achieve their wellness goals whilst also fitting around family life.
I provided exclusively mobile reflexology treatments initially, but since moving to Blaxton near Doncaster I am able to work from my home treatment room, although I still offer a handful of mobile visits for those who are unable to get to me.
My treatment room is cozy and tranquil, and I am a conveniently located in Blaxton near Doncaster, serving the Doncaster and wider South Yorkshire / Isle of Axholme area. I offer Reflexology, Reiki and Indian Head Massage treatments from my home treatment room in the village of Blaxton near Doncaster, although Reiki and Indian Head Massage treatments are temporarily suspended until the current COVID-19 situation improves.
I qualified as a Reflexologist in 2007 with the Northern School of Reflexology in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, where I gained a level 3 diploma.
I am fully insured and a member of the Association of Reflexologists, enabling me to use the letters MAR after my name. Therapists who have trained with an AoR approved school will have completed over 300 hours of learning, and carried out a minimum of 100 treatments during training and are required to continue their training to remain a member. I work to the AoR’s code of conduct and ethics.
The qualification I hold is recognised by the NHS and many health care providers and insurers, such as Westfield, Bupa, Medicash and Health Shield.
During the 12 years I have been practising Reflexology, I have helped countless people with stress, anxiety, sleep disorders and wellbeing, as well as providing support for people living with illness.
The aim of Reflexology is to treat and support the person as a whole and is intended to work alongside allopathic healthcare.

In my spare time, I provide Reflexology and Reiki treatments for Team Verrico, a local cancer charity.
Team Verrico's mission is to fund cutting edge research, to protect the physical and mental health of cancer patients and their families, and to educate by raising awareness of the disease.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. The meaning of 'Rei' is universal, and 'Ki' means life energy, therefore reiki means 'Universal energy'.
After practicing Reiki for several years, I became qualified as a Reiki Master in 2017, and am now happy to offer both Reiki treatments and training.
